I am an anthropologist (MA, PhD, Rice University) who loves to study cultures and take photographs of interesting people, places and things.

I travel extensively as part of my anthropology research and family vacations. My gallery features varied photos from around the world, some of which I turn into "photo-paintings", uniting two of my passions - painting and photography.  The website also shows some black and white pictures of women's rituals that I took for my book, Play, Symbolism, and Ritual.
